By TCMP
The Circle Media Plus (TCMP) has admitted three interns into its journalism training programme in partnership with the Richard George Foundation (RGF), as part of its commitment to developing emerging journalists and advancing cross-border, analytical and philosophical journalism.
The three interns will undergo a six-month training programme designed to develop their journalism skills through practical newsroom experience, editorial supervision, research, reporting and storytelling.
During the programme, they will gain exposure to news gathering, news writing, fact-checking, editorial processes and digital media production. The training will combine practical assignments with close supervision to help the interns strengthen their professional competence and understand the demands of modern journalism.
Interns who successfully complete the programme will receive certificates in recognition of their achievement.
The initiative reflects the shared commitment of TCMP and RGF to expanding opportunities for aspiring journalists to gain practical experience and prepare for careers in the media industry.
Advancing Cross-Border, Analytical and Philosophical Journalism
Beyond practical newsroom training, TCMP aims to strengthen cross-border journalism and encourage more journalists to engage in analytical and philosophical approaches to reporting.
The organisation seeks to encourage journalists to look beyond the immediate facts of a story by examining the issues, policies, ideas and social realities that shape public life across countries and communities.
Analytical journalism examines the causes, implications and wider significance of events, helping audiences understand not only what happened, but also why it happened and what it means.
Philosophical journalism, as understood within TCMP’s approach, encourages critical reflection on the ideas, values, ethics and assumptions that influence society, public debate and human affairs.
Through these approaches, TCMP aims to promote journalism that informs, investigates, questions and deepens public understanding. Its focus on cross-border reporting also seeks to encourage meaningful dialogue between communities and perspectives across national boundaries.
